Monday, July 19, it’s time for $1 bowling again!!  Join us at Strike N Spare West, 2660 West Lawrence Ave.   Bowling is from 6:30-9:00 pm, but you can split as early as you like.  Cost is $1/game plus shoe rental.  If you’re lucky you may get to witness a turkey dance.

Young Adults will be carpooling to Six Flags from the church parking lot on Thursday, July 15.  Park admission and carpool cost included for $30.  Contact Becky at 217.741.0196 or BeckyM@wschurch.org to sign up for the trip or to purchase a ticket by Sunday, July 11.  

Bad News: The Young Adult Ministry Six Flags Trip has been cancelled. Unfortunately, only 4 people signed up to go so the group trip has been cancelled.

Good News: Six Flags is still open. If you were wanting to go to Six Flags, feel free to talk it up with friends at church or in ABF and plan your own trip at a time that fits your schedule. (You can get discounted tickets from the Six Flags website)

July 11, 12:45pm, 2nd Sunday Lunch immediately after Fourth Service.  Follow the crowds to the cafeteria to enjoy a meal of Taco Bake & Caesar Salad prepared by Chad Huss and then stick around for games in the gym.

July’s Summer Gym Night will be from 6 p.m to 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 7.  Join us in the church gym/cafeteria for planned activities and a brief devotion.  Fun competitions will include indoor and outdoor activities, team sports and board games.  If you have a favorite board game, be sure to bring it along!

Sunday, July 4, beginning at 3:00pm at the church.  If the weather is nice, we will be outside and activities will include Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, Wacky Olympic Relays, FOOD, and more! Dinner will be around 5:00 – hotdogs, buns, and condiments will be provided.  Around 8:00pm we will head to SHS to settle in for fireworks scheduled to begin at 9:30pm.  Indoor activities are planned in case of bad weather.

Thirty-nine young adults gathered for 2nd Sunday Lunch today!  Ya’s small group prepared a delicious taco bar and fabulous desserts for the crowd as well as decorating the cafeteria for a fiesta.  It was  fun to celebrate Ya and the friendship we have with her, but sad to think about the fact that she will be returning home to Cambodia in just a couple of weeks.  We enjoyed having new people join us as well as having friends from out of town return for the event.
